American Steal Band 2010

MIKE KOSTENSKY
Owner -Mike’s Place, married with 4 kids, Debbie is his wife of many years. Guitarist and songwriter. Previous bands, NORTH STAR, TYMES and founding member of ASB .

Mike has promised to dedicate the rest of his life to learning the names of the Chords he uses, and to learn how to click on the "spell check" Icon

Matt Moore

Member since 2000, retired in 2008 came back out of retirement in July of 2009.  Spent his months off with the Dali Lama studying the mystical verses of ASB original songs, now that he is enlightened he again vocally leads American Steal in their quest for the “Greater Good” in the local music scene!

     Matt works for KSU and is rumored to own it, unconfirmed of course.  Father of 3 and happily married to Louise, an original ASB groupie!

     Matt has written and contributed to many of the original selection on ASB 3 cd’s.

     When at KSU if you see Matt try to pretend your not staring at him, he is in cognito and

just wants to blend I with the crowd.

FRED FRANKS
(THE MASTER OF DISASTER and FRELVIS)-Owner of the Akron Auto Clinic- Married to wife Marietta, father of 4 and grandfather. Keyboardist and songwriter. Former bands were Euphemized Lounge acts of the 80's, known for his road trip to Greenland to entertain the troops, shipped home after the desertion rate increased at that base.

Fred joined the ASB line up in 2000. Fred has a strong voice and songwriting capabilities while he ply's his trade while sucking down massive amounts of WHOLE WINGS and Lite Brews. His hobby is triggering the Drum machine on his keyboard in the middle of a song, just to see if we're listening.

Doug Matthews
Knight of the Mike's Place Round table- "The Young One"-Eccentric bassist who takes up the slack for the elder guys. Unique Vocal ability, energy and he still has hair. Retired Mike's Place slave and manager.

Devoted fan of Neil Diamond, and yes Dougy does Diamond so good Neil would be amazed. Watch the stage as Doug fends off the rush of women that come up to the stage just to get a touch of the Doug Meister.

 

 

Peter Hartung- formally with Hard Roads,   Married and a father of a son.  Peter brings a unique professional and expanded influence to American Steal.  Learning his skills from years on the road, sharpened by his unique song witting ability, we are all eager to add his talents to the bands and are in talks about releasing some new ASB songs to the web, stay tuned.

THEY HAVE ALWAYS SAID WE NEED A GIRL TO COMPLIMENT THE BAND, OH WELL

WE ARE PICKY AND IT'S SO HARD TO FIND THE PERFECT WOMAN.

WE HAVE SUCCEEDED, MEET THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THE BAND.
